Pippa

Pippa is about a year and a half old and incredibly smart—along with stubborn and mischievous. As hard as it is to admit, our family even considered rehoming her because she was such a handful and truly ran the house.

While at the dog park, I struck up a conversation with someone who had been working with Erin to train her own very clever (and naughty!) puppy. I figured, why not give it a try?

So far, Erin has taught Pippa several commands and, just as importantly, has taught us how to better manage our relationship with her. Erin helped us understand that dogs thrive with structure, mental stimulation, and clear boundaries. Although we’re still mid-training, Pippa has already come a long way, and so have we humans! She’s much more obedient and genuinely seems happier now that she knows what’s expected of her.

Our family is really looking forward to continuing to work with Erin as we all adjust to one another and establish healthy family expectations. We’re so grateful for the progress we’ve already seen.
